LOS ANGELES—Richelle Ryan tells AVN she was “shocked beyond belief” to be honored with the first ever MYLF of the Month title.
Perhaps it was only fitting she landed the crown in July—a special month by any measure for the seasoned adult star and award-winning feature dancer. Ryan celebrated her birthday and her 13-year anniversary in porn on July 11 by flying to Puerto Vallarta, the lush resort town situated on Mexico’s Pacific coast.
“I believe it’s my first official vacation I’ve taken,” Ryan told AVN the day before her trip. “I’m only allowing myself 30 minutes on my phone and with my computer every day. I’ll be staying on the beach. I’m super excited to go.”
The curvaceous native of Rochester, N.Y., said her vacation plan was simple: “All I want to do is lay on the beach and drink margaritas.”
“It was just such an honor,” Ryan said. “I feel like being a MILF in this industry holds so much stature. If you look at a lot of the girls—like Lisa Ann, Kendra Lust, Ava Addams, Brandi Love and myself—they’re all strong, powerful women. So to be named the first one and set the standard for MYLF is so cool. I couldn’t have asked for a better month to be picked.”
Ryan received a cash prize, MYLF merchandise, an exclusive photoshoot and a prominent presence on the MYLF.com home page in July with the title. She did her photoshoot with veteran photographer and producer, Andrew Youngman; Ryan also starred in a light-hearted, YouTube friendly, Independence Day promo video.
“It was really cute. I had so much fun with it. It was me grilling hamburgers and playing beer pong,” added Ryan, who was wearing a barely-there, American flag-inspired bikini.
Ryan also recently shot for elite director Mason for the first time in her career—a boy/girl scene with Manuel Ferrara for Hard X. The day proved more than memorable for Ryan, who has worked with the six-time AVN Male Performer of the Year Ferrara at least five times before that.
“Mason is incredible—oh my god, I wish she could shoot me for every scene I shoot for the rest of my career. She was so amazing,” Ryan raved. “We clicked and we vibed so well. Everything about that day was perfect. And she got the best photos of me. She’s just a god.”
Ryan continued, “Her work and her videos are just out of this world. … She’s very detail-oriented. I think this is kind of a thing amongst women. A lot of female directors in the business are all about details and Mason is very much so about that. She looks at every single thing. The day that we were shooting she looked my body up and down; she was paying attention to how I was moving my body. She’s shooting 30 scenes a month and this was our first time meeting but she was like, ‘Wow, I’m feeling very inspired.’ So we went balls to the wall.
“She knows how to capture the right angles—it’s just a womanly thing. We know our bodies. A lot of the male directors in the business—they can get burned out and tired and turn into robot shooters. But she was incredible.”
Ryan remembers performing with French superstar Manuel Ferrara around when she first started in the business in the summer of 2006.
“I feel like it’s different now that I’m considered a veteran,” she added. “I’m more aware of where the camera is and my body and I’ve just grown as a performer.”
A proud resident of Las Vegas, Ryan continues to hold down one of the busiest feature dancing schedules on the circuit. In October 2018 she signed a contract with the Deja Vu gentlemen’s club chain for a set number of appearances at their various clubs across the country in 2019.
“I try to keep it to around two weekends a month feature dancing,” she said. “I love feature dancing. Before I got into the industry I was working as a dancer. So no matter what is going on in my life, whenever I get on that stage it’s always a relief for me. I always have fun. I love meeting the fans.”
Ryan at press time was excited to headline the Deju Vu in Oklahoma City for the first time during the weekend of July 18.
“I love the way they run their clubs and treat their employees,” Ryan said. “I’m very happy to be one of their featured girls. I’m having a blast doing all their clubs.”
Ryan plans to continue shooting porn scenes for different studios at least five times per month in addition to posting on her OnlyFans and Snapchat.
“If I only wanted to run my OnlyFans and [premium] Snapchat and live off that I definitely could, but I still want to travel and work for companies like Brazzers, Naughty America and Hard X—all the big-name companies. It keeps my value for feature dancing high,” she said.
